  • -Feifei has assisted and supervised 13 graduate students, of whom 8 have graduated with a master's degree and 2 with a doctor's degree. Many of them have won national scholarships, merit students and other awards. Actively promote the international training of interdisciplinary graduate students, relying on the Ministry of Science and Technology project "Research on Multi-scale Evaluation and prediction methods of Metal corrosion", set up a collaborative research team of internationally renowned experts led by C. Leygraf, academician of the Royal Swedish Institute of Technology, to participate in the guidance of graduate students. Feifei organized a series of overseas scholar courses such as “Synchrotron Radiation and Its Application”, “Introduction to Atmospheric Corrosion”, and served as a teaching assistant.

-Feifei has published more than 40 SCI papers, applied for 6 patents, granted 3 patents, and granted 2 soft licenses, among which she is the first/corresponding author in Corros. Sci., Appl. Surf.Sci., J. Electrochem. Soc. She has also served as a reviewer for several SCI journals. In the past several years, she has published 17 SCI papers as the first/ corresponding author, presided over 9 projects including China Postdoctoral Fund, foreign experts Project of Ministry of Science and Technology and horizontal projects entrusted by domestic leading enterprises. At the same time, she participated in 2 national key research and development projects (1 project has been completed) and more than 10 scientific research projects.

    Major scientific and technological breakthroughs:

    1) Titanium alloy related basic research: As a key member of the innovation team of Guangdong Laboratory of Southern Ocean Science and Engineering (Zhuhai) and a core member of a national key research and development project (2022YFA1603800), Feifei developed in-situ/quasi-in-situ characterization methods based on synchrotron radiation light source and other advanced characterization technologies, using a variety of commercial titanium alloys and multi-alloy high-throughput samples. The effects of alloying elements and polarization conditions on the passivation kinetics and corrosion resistance of titanium alloys were systematically revealed, and 5 SCI papers (including 3 papers in the first region) were published.

    2) All-solid-state pH sensor electrode development and application: Feifei committed to the design and development of new all-solid-state sensors, aiming to realize the independent development of high-end sensing products in China, has achieved significant innovation results, has applied for 4 invention patents, 2 authorized. A new method of preparation of iridium oxide pH electrode by cyclic thermal oxidation-quenching is proposed, which reveals the response mechanism and makes clear the correlation between electrode composition, structure and performance, and is applied to pH monitoring during galvanic corrosion process. By combining with the developed all-solid reference electrode, pH monitoring under 30MPa simulated deep sea environment has been achieved. Related results published 8 SCI papers as the first author (including 3 papers in the first region and 2 papers in the second region).

    3) Construction, testing and evaluation services of large scientific equipment: As a core member of the sub-project, Feifei has made important contributions to the development and completion of the innovative test device of "Natural Atmospheric Structural Materials Test Device (AETFES)" in the "Major Engineering Materials Service Safety Research and Evaluation Facility (MSAF)" large science facility undertaken by USTB (the whole will pass the national acceptance in 2022) and the establishment of supporting laboratories. Among them, the all-solid-state sensor electrode developed by Feifei as an online monitoring and detection technology to obtain corrosion process data is one of the factors that both the device and the laboratory were awarded "international leading" in the international evaluation in 2021. Relying on the device, Feifei took the lead in completing the important testing and evaluation tasks of major equipment/key components of leading industry units such as Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, and Zhongye Co. Ltd., clarified the environmental damage mechanism, condensed the equipment environmental evaluation test method combined with actual service conditions and obtained data. The service performance evolution and life prediction model of component are proposed. Finally, she received unanimous praise from the entrusted units, including a formal thank you letter from the Opening and Closing Ceremony working group of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee.
